Super rough initial sketches Simplifying the RedTiki logo Colour and monotone variations of the logo Detail of the final print on a yellow t-shirt Siong wearing the super snazzy final product in RedTiki Red Boz sporting his Eater Island Grey attire

Although we don't have a uniform here on Red Tiki Island, like most people, we like to wear clothes. The Red Tiki King demands a high level of style from his slaves. I've been wanting to design a Red Tiki shirt for a while now and a few days ago I finally put pencil to paper and sketched out a design.

The Process: I decided to do a flat colour version of the current RedTiki logo and after a few failed attempts on the original logo I knew it wasn't going to work. I think deep down I was hoping for a "Make Awesome Now" button in illustrator but alas, it was not ...

A warm Sunday afternoon with clear blue sky gave us a perfect opportunity for some 'networking' and 'team building' at the Brown Brothers Wine and Food Festival. Held annually at the Cottesloe Civic Centre, this was the second year team tiki enjoyed the fruits of the festivities.

Greeted at the door with a glass of bubbly was the perfect way for us to start the day. We had a bunch of reasons to celebrate, Cam and Ella returned from their adventures at SxSW with an honourable mention and the happy couple had tied the knot in Vegas while away. There is no better ...

What a whirlwind the last month has been for the Red Tiki team & it isn’t slowing down! Since our South by South West nomination we have been literally inundated with publicity, interest & new clients.

The SxSW interactive festival in Austin, Texas this March was a truly amazing experience. Being nominated as the only Australian finalist for the 2011 SxSW Interactive Business Award was an absolute honour. Getting free tickets to attend the prestigious festival was extremely cool.

We learnt so much. The forums, workshops, lectures, keynotes & panels put on where ...

Red Tiki a SxSW Finalist!

Great SxSW illustration by Siong

We’ve hardly been able to contain our excitement at being announced as a finalist in the 14th Annual South By Southwest Festival since we found out last week. We’ve all been jumping around the office screaming since. Well I certainly have…

The Red Tiki website is up against some insane work from all over the world in the Business category. Our competition is fierce to say the least. We’re up against kick ass agencies we really respect like 9 Threads & andCulture, and some amazingly creative work on sites from Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Alabama’s “Be You” site ...

The perfect setting for a great day of wine and Super Golf Wine tasting We took note of the Stand Clear sign Ella looking the part The team taking Super Golf very seriously Siong and Jack relaxing in the shade, ready for some more wine

We had a glorious day out for our Christmas staff do to celebrate all our hard work in 2010. We wrapped up the year with a wine & Supa Golf tour of the Swan Valley on the 17th of December.

After getting picked up from our Subiaco headquarters we headed straight for our closest wine country, hitting Lancaster first for wine tastings session one. My favourite was their late picked Chenin which was a delightful accompaniment to the cheese platter they kindly made for us.

Second up was Heafod Glen where we enjoyed tasting session two, the highlights of which were ...

The ladies enjoying the Women In Media launch party One of the initial concepts for the Women In Media logo One of the initial concepts for the Women In Media logo The Women In Media logo in its final stages The final design for the Women In Media logo An angular website design with a limited colour pallet

Red Tiki has taken on the task of sprucing up the image of Women in Media.

Women in Media is a not-for-profit networking group for journalists, communications/public relations officers, government media specialists & other media related professionals.
Basically it’s a group of motivated & passionate women working in media.

The old WIM website was uninspiring & didn’t at all represent the dynamic & forward thinking women in the group. After meeting the lovely ladies I knew I wanted to be part of it & decided to sponsor a logo & website redesign.

Our task ...
